Build a Blanket Fort (yes, you!)

Take a cue from winter and make some time to rest before the big holidays hit later this month. Hibernate, even if only for an hour!

Rest makes us more productive and helps us rebuild our strength to handle the busy times. When you feel like you’re too busy to rest is actually the most important time to make yourself rest!

Winter is a natural time to be still and dormant, but modern society resists the natural model. However, you’re a grown-up and can do whatever you want. Give yourself a naptime one afternoon. Build a blanket fort on the bed and snooze, read, or daydream, or all of them in turn. When you return to the real world outside your fort, you will feel at least a little rested and rejuvenated and ready to tackle the next thing. Consider making it a weekly self-care ritual.

Rest, recover, and then rise up to face the next thing.
