Bust a block with a Creativity Container

To bust a creative block, make a creativity container – a small space of security where your creativity can thrive.

The more safe you feel, the more your creativity can expand. It’s like Maslow’s hierarchy of needs; if your muse doesn’t feel safe, she won’t be able to express herself.

When you’re suffering from a creative block, first focus on some self-care practices to nurture yourself, then focus on creating a safe container for your creativity.

A creativity container is like a corral where your creative projects can safely graze and grow stronger. It is a boundary you set to mark your creative time and protect your creative projects.

A creativity container can be:
* One hour on Saturday mornings where you do some art journaling in your bedroom.
* An app on your phone where you write poetry over your lunch break.
* A leisurely drive where you sing at top volume on a country road.
* An art class at your local library or recreation center.

A creativity container is anything that helps you get your creative work done. It holds space for your creativity to develop.

What kind of container would most help your creativity right now?
