Align-Time: Soft-Hard

Last year, I hosted Align Time, a weekly alignment check-in for balance, fulfillment, and satisfaction. A few of my prompts got more hits than others, so I’ll elaborate on those here on the blog.

For Sept 6, 2016, I said: “Soft-Hard is noticing how you are pushing forward. Neither is better or worse, just notice where you are on this spectrum and where you’d like to be.

Sometimes you need a soft touch, when things are uncertain or you have low energy or stamina. Sometimes you need to try harder to gain momentum and make a big push ahead, but no one can’t sustain a hard push all the time.

This alignment check-in asks you to notice where your effort is. Is it time for a soft touch or a harder push? What can you do to cultivate energy and stamina for a harder push when you need it?

Where are you on the Soft-Hard spectrum? Is that where you want to be?
