Get Busy Mindfully

This time of year, spring cleaning and gearing up for summer fun, it seems like life clicks into high gear and there is no end to the things to do and places to go.

Consider approaching this busy time with mindfulness by doing a Time Audit and/or an Energy Budget. These two exercises can help you stay realistic with your time and energy when life gets hectic.

* A time audit is like creating a monetary budget – you have your “ideal” schedule/budget, but it may not align quite with reality. Doing the audit can help you set realistic expectations on what you can accomplish through the end of the year.

* An energy budget can help you recognize your natural energy cycle highs and lows so that you can plan events and projects to support yourself. This can help you greatly as an aspect of self-care, which can easily fall by the wayside this time of year.

Check out my free booklets on these topics on my downloads page! (They’re listed under “Self-Care”)
