Especially in winter, I like to slow down. With all the things I want to accomplish this year, I need to remind myself that slow and steady wins the race. I need to pace myself for the long haul.
Self-care can be a big help with this. If you slow down, you can see what you need and when you need it. By building good self-care habits when things are slow, you can better adjust when things start to move faster, and you will more easily notice when your self-care is out of whack and noticing it is the first step to get back into alignment. And taking good care of yourself is a foundation for getting big things done; you will be stronger, smarter, more flexible, and more grounded when you take time for good self-care.
How is your pace so far this year? What would you like to adjust? When can you schedule some time soon to slow down and take care of yourself? What is a favorite self-care treat you could give yourself this week?
Pace yourself, move slow and steady, take good care of yourself, and you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish!
