Last year, I came up with the idea of Pajamuary, a time to rest and recharge.
I invite you to consider how you might turn your January into Pajamuary. As the light returns slowly after winter solstice, how can you slowly get up to full strength, too? What does full strength look like for you? What would you do at full strength? What would you choose not to do?
Just notice how you answer these questions and allow yourself to move slowly as we roll into the new year. Sometimes, with new resolutions and objectives for the year, we want to do more faster. Faster isn’t usually better. Changes made slowly are more likely to stick.
Give yourself these weeks of Pajamuary to rest, recharge, and recalibrate as you move into the new year. Then you can take deliberate steps in a confident direction, knowing what you want and how it aligns with your desires and priorities. Sit with your decisions as you build up strength, and then take action when you feel strong and capable.
