“Drink Me” – Make your own magic potion

Drink Me - Create your own magic potion Have you ever wished you had a magic potion to help get through the day, something other than coffee or red wine? I’m going to tell you a secret: you can make your own magic potion any time you want.

The magic in this potion stems from two key ingredients: stepping out of phase and setting an intention. The other ingredients are up to you; you can use a simple glass of water, make a cup of your favorite tea, or design a fancy custom chai mix with a dozen different herbs and spices. The actual beverage isn’t important, it’s what you do with it.

Say you’re having a tough day and you notice things aren’t going the way you would like. Stop whatever you’re doing and decide to make your potion. This is key ingredient number one: stepping out of phase. It only takes a thought to change your phase. When you step out of phase, you invite a sliver of space between what has been happening and what will happen next. You create a little space where you can breathe and make a choice.

Then prepare your beverage with key ingredient number two: setting an intention. As you pour water in your glass from the water cooler or dunk your teabag, set the intention that your energy is shifting. Pick what energy you want and name it; positive energy, grateful energy, empowered energy, peaceful energy. Charge your glass with this energy. Take a deep breath and release it, then sip your potion.

Try it and tell me how it goes! Consider making it a daily ritual to check-in, have a mindful cuppa, and choose your energy.
