It’s the new year and lots of folks are running full steam ahead on some new goals for the year. That’s great!
But, in case that’s not where you are at the moment, I wanted to remind you about my post from March 6, 2013, where I talked about Unplanning.
Everyone has their own personal cycle, and your cycle may not align with the new year. Maybe you’re a teacher or employed in higher education, and your “new year” begins in August or September. Maybe you prefer to follow the astrological calendar and start your “new year” on the spring equinox with the sun moving into Aries. Maybe you’re just in a time of personal transition, and it just doesn’t feel right to plan anything yet for the new year. Whatever works for you is great.
Don’t feel pressure to plan or make resolutions just because many other people are doing that this month. Honor your personal cycle and do what is right for you!
