Posture, framework, alignment

Coach Blog 010614 As we start the new year, I’d like to encourage you to look at the structures you have in place to meet your goals. Do you have a schedule, and is it working? How do you keep track of your schedule, is your calendar or day-planner working? How do you organize your tasks and how often do you review your progress?

Simply take a few minutes this week and consider these questions. If your work structures aren’t supporting you in a solid way, you could be wasting time and energy. Think of a house with a crooked foundation; it creates all kinds of structural problems. Think about your posture; if you spend all day slouching, you end up with tension in your neck and shoulders. You want to work from a solid foundation with proper alignment that is just right for you.

Everyone has different needs and preferences, so everyone’s work structure will be very different. Also, different projects might have different needs. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel every time you take on a project, but spend some time before and after each project to look at your structure and decide what is or isn’t working for you. If something isn’t working, find a way to improve it.

Start your year with a solid foundation and healthy alignment!
