Year in Review

Coach Blog 123013 I was planning this post to be a quarterly review as well as a year recap, but the last quarter has been bananas and I’d rather just wipe the slate clean and start fresh with positive energy.

It is important to notice when things aren’t working, but you don’t need to dwell on the negative aspects. Just make a note of what didn’t work, set it aside, and plan something new.

I’m waiting to do my deep annual planning until I return from my vacation (I’m posting this from Paris!), so I’m letting myself just enjoy the winding down of 2013. Next weekend, I’m excited to really dig into Leonie Dawson’s Amazing Year – Life and Biz workbooks (affiliate link). I used the 2013 versions on my birthday (Sept 30) last quarter, and they uncovered so many insights, but it made me realize that I need to keep those insights more visible on a weekly basis to allow that juicy, exciting planning energy to inject into my daily plans. I’m sure I’ll talk more about all of that in the new year.

As far as my year recap, here are the highlights:

January – started ARTbundance certification training
February – (hmm, I have no memory of February! Surely, something must have happened …)
March – visited my beloved NYC
April – got paid for my first writing project, Fight Like a Girl
May – was e-published in Fight Like a Girl
June – graduated from the ARTbundance program, launched my business
July – visited New Orleans for the first time
August – started taking live yoga classes, deepening my yoga practice
September – went to San Diego (where I lived K-5 grades) and had fun surfing for the second time
October – started a small writing group with two local friends
November – did my first tarot table at a commercial event, Athena Festival
December – went to Paris, France for New Year’s

It was a pretty good year, despite my recent few bananas months. When I do my new annual planning, I will take a look at why it was bananas, but right now I’m just going to enjoy the good stuff.

Enjoy your good stuff from 2013, and open the door for more goodies in 2014!
