A few weeks ago, I was listening to Dr. Christiane Northrup’s Hay House Radio show. She was talking to a caller and asked the woman to name three things she did recently just for pleasure. I paused and tried to make this list for myself and had trouble finding three things.
The holiday season is in full swing now, and the focus may be on giving and cooking and parties and such; but I want you to remember to count your blissings as well as your blessings. Count what brings you bliss, joy, and pleasure and make time for these things regularly in your life.
Make a Bliss List of things you do just for pleasure and, when you need a little more juiciness in your life, do one of the things on your list. Here are some ideas to get you started, and remember, these are things done purely for pleasure, there is no practical side to these!
* Getting up when the house is quiet and having a cup of tea
* Pausing to watch a sunrise, sunset, rainbow, puffy cloud, etc.
* Calling a good friend just to chat
* Taking a bubble bath
